Investigations

At Vector Insurance Services, LLC, we’re experts in on-scene accident investigation and in accident reconstruction.  We take great pride in the quality of our investigations.   In addition to handling claims, we’ve been trained and licensed to perform investigations since the early 90s, and we’re also certified in ForensicMaping, Crash Data Retrieval and Crash Data Analysis.

We leave no stone unturned in our examination of the facts.  At Vector Insurance Services, we believe that it’s impossible to properly handle a claim unless the underlying investigation has been thorough and complete.   Unless you have  firm grasp of the facts, you can’t negotiate from a position of strength.

Our focus is on conducting the most thorough investigations in the business, as quickly and as economically as possilbe.  On larger losses, our goal is to get you an actionable written report from the scene inclusive of photographic imagery, CAD drawings and, in some cases, 3D renderings.

We specialize in on-scene accident response, investigation and reconstruction, and utilize the state of the art in investigative tools, including Nikon Total Station for linear measurements,  3D scanning, hand held laser devices and a wide range of imaging techniques ranging from 3D photo scans of large scenes all the way down to microscopic investigation of crucial details.

We also perform comprehensive background checks and surveillance services.  On surveilance, we’re equipped with long-range video cameas, miniature wearable covert cameras as well as static covert cameras.

We observe all privacy, pretense and trespassing laws. You will not find better claims investigators anywhere in the country.

We’re well versed in MIST, SIU and have extensive experience ferreting out fraud. We’ve worked with the NICB, the FBI and the US Attorney’s Office on fraudulent staged accident rings and other fraudulent matters. Our investigation of a staged accident ring in Coushatta, Louisiana in the late 1990’s led to 64 federal indictments and nearly 40 convictions.  Our initial determination that two accidents, involving the same vehicles, were staged led to the discovery of the ring and the involvement of the NICB, the US Attorney and the FBI.  We actually found evidence that carriers other than our clients were involved and we first alerted the NICB to the ring.

We have an excellent working relationship with the law enforcement agencies in our immediate areas, particularly their crash units.  We’ve assisted local law enforcement agencies in a number of matters and – in some cases – have handled their crash related claims.
